Okay, you’ve been thinking about taking action, moving forward, doing that thing that would create progress and increase your soulful living… right? BUT you haven’t done it. Not yet.
Whatever it is, it would help change your life. It would bring you into a more spiritual way of being. It would increase your awareness of living in a larger realm. Right?
So, what stops you? What holds you back? What lets you hide out in “ordinary land” never standing apart, never asking for a raise or promotion, never being more than what you were raised to be.
Now, just reading this isn’t going to move you forward. But it might jostle your thinking about who you are now AND who you WANT to be. Who you COULD BE if you were willing to take the risk of deeper more profound soulful living!
So, take a minute to consider how you want to see yourself going forward.
-
Afraid to take new chances?
-
Limited by self-doubts?
-
Determined to stay the way you are?
Or….
-
Eager to see what is possible?
-
Energized by taking risks?
-
Open to a new, more soulful-living future?
Yes, it will require you to stand apart from the crowd. Maybe it won’t be noticeable to anyone but you, but it will push you to be more outstanding in whatever ways you can. It might be socially, might be in your work, maybe in how you move forward in your spiritual endeavors.
It requires you to be more fully YOU, distinctly and uniquely YOU. Please pay attention to this as so many people are reluctant to open their lives thinking they are going to have to copy someone else. That is NOT IT! We are talking about you opening your life to YOU. Yes, to being more FULLY YOU!
Soulful living doesn’t happen overnight, but when you embrace it, you move more clearly into a larger, more robust visibility – if only to you.
We refer to this as “Overcoming the Fear of Being Fabulous”. And we can only bet that what you are hiding behind is a far more fabulous YOU, if you will take those risks you are thinking about.
Need help? We understand.
So, start by truly receiving the praise and compliments that come your way. Don’t just fluff them off. Really take them in. Even if it’s a stranger during your morning walk who says, “Good Morning, you look terrific!” No matter if you think your hair is a mess and you haven’t yet showered, make sure to take in the praise and say, “Thanks! Much appreciated.”
Examples: Jim is about to turn 84 and is having major dental work done, and the other day someone at the gym said, “Hey there, you have a great smile!” and Jim silently honored the dental lab! And Judith is almost 82, and as we entered a local coffee house a woman said, “Wow, you are beautiful!” And even though Judith mostly sees her droopy under-eyes and crepey neck, she had to take it in!
And then take it into how you see yourself! That is soulful living at its finest. Take in any praise that others say about you, no matter if it conflicts with your own self-doubt. This challenge creates a much larger vision of who you are AND that is soulful living at its finest!
