Dear Nancilee,
I recently purchased
your book Feng Shui and how to Look Before You Love.
It's absolutely a great book. I'm only having a problem
figuring out my "type."
Can you interpret this
for me to see so I can feel secure in knowing that I did
interpret it correctly. Here's how I scored:
Test 1 - Personality
2 - Water
2 - Earth
2- Fire
2 - Metal
Any help you could
give me would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
NL

Dear NL:
Many people feel
confused when one element does not dominate their
answers. However, you will be happy to hear that it is
far easier to live when you have many elemental aspects
than if one dominates. Having a mix of elements makes it
easier to understand a variety of emotional contexts.
You can effortlessly empathize with others. Most likely
you are a person who can "feel" other’s
emotions.
The absence of wood in
your chart suggests that it may be very hard for you to
make changes in your life. The wood element’s
underpinning is the ability to be flexible enough to
"go with the flow". Wood persons typically
commit to trying out new ideas, experiences and are,
like fire-types, likely to love traveling. With that
absence you might find it difficult to change.
Use this knowledge to
shape an environment too fill in your gap. Therefore
emphasizing or adding the wood element in your living
space would be beneficial for you. Here are a few
suggestions:
Use stripes in fabrics
or wall coverings
Add the color green
Be sure to include
textures that feel rougher than smooth
Diffuse bergamot,
grapefruit or lavender at intervals
By adding the wood
element to your environment you will have effectively
rounded your expressed personality. This is a very
comfortable way to live!
