Using Numerology Within
Affirmations and Visualization
"That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do; not that the nature of the thing has changed, but that our ability to do it has increased."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
"The poor man is not he who is without a cent, but he who is without a dream."
~Harry Kemp
This month we will look at how we can utilize Numerology within our affirmations and visualizations. Also, we will continue from last month and resume our analysis of our life patterns as illustrated by our personal numbers. Numerology can be a powerful ally in your visualization campaign. However, You must first trust that you
can manifest your destiny. A campaign combining numerology, affirmations and
visualizations can help you to create the life you want.
We will start out with a relatively easy, yet insightful, method of analysis and progress towards the more complicated processes later. For now, we will use a tool known as
a "magic number square," originally discovered in China, to help us with our analysis. This square, which is illustrated below is a simple 3 X 3 number grid. We will be using the
westernized version of it. The older version requires the use of a Chinese Solar calendar. However, you will be able to obtain a good personality reading by placing your birth date within this square. The locations of your personal numbers can help to illustrate potential strengths and personality pitfalls.
When you begin to place your other personal numbers into the grid you will see that one or more numbers become more prominent, or perhaps there is balance between all of your numbers. However your numbers fit into the grid, the underlying pattern can help us to learn more about you. Uncovering vital information about your personality could help you to develop affirmations that are best suited to you. I believe that you will have an easier time manifesting your desires as you learn about your skills, and begin to tailor your affirmations towards your needs and balance them with your strengths.
The magic square was discovered in China, by Chinese Emperor Fu His, sometime before the first century A.D. The emperor
discovered a tortoise shell, that was said to contain this "magic number square". The ancient Chinese supposedly found number patterns on the back of the shell. The pattern they found was unique in that in any direction- horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, the numbers all add up to fifteen. This is said to represent the fifteen days in each of the 24 cycles of the Chinese year. From the discovery of the
Magic Square, evolved the I Ching, Feng Shui, Nine Star Ki, Geomancy, Chinese Astrology and Chinese Numerology.
The magic square is a phenomenon that is not restricted to China. In Indian tradition, magic squares, or
"yantras" are also utilized. In this tradition, they may also take on larger forms and shapes. The yantras are specifically constructed to invoke energies, which prevent ill effects. Yantra followers believe that
a yantra is essential for good luck, protection, and to attain success, acquire wealth,
win in court cases, ward off diseases and progress in meditation. By having a yantra and keeping it in a special place, and viewing it everyday can help you in fulfilling your desires and attaining your goals.
Notable figures throughout history, such as Benjamin Franklin have been known to work with these magic squares. He was fond of a very large square that was 16x16. Franklin also worked with magic circles. When he worked as a clerk in Pennsylvania as a clerk, he would make magic circles to relieve some
tedium of his work.
Magic squares are as individual as your personal numerology or astrology chart. What do you wish to change? Many cultures believe that you can harness the powerful energy of magic squares, to attract your sincerest desires. We will first use these grids to learn more about ourselves.
We will begin by placing our personal numbers within the corresponding grid location. Within the grid, there are various planes of thought, or action. These planes can help to give you valuable insights into your motivations, and your character.
The green row (3,6,9) represents intellectual strengths. It relates to the intellect, reasoning, and
judgment.
The purple (2,5,8) represents spirituality, and it relates to your emotions, feelings and intuitions.
The orange (1,4,7) represents material and how you can be successful in life, business, and financially.
If you were interested in learning about the emotional makeup of yourself, or someone else, then you would look to the middle row (2,5,8) for your answers.
Now, that we know a little about the grid it is time to place your numbers within the
grid using our Magic Square Calculator. We are looking for missing numbers, a general balance between your numbers, and over weighted numbers. All these things can represent important information.
All of your 1’s will go in the 1 position, the 2’s in the 2 position and so
on (as shown above in the colored square).
As an example we will look at Abraham Lincoln. His birthday is 2/12/1809. As you can see from the grid, we do not use zeros (0). He has two (2’s), two (1’s), one (8) and one (9). Lincoln’s basic grid will look like this:
In reading the chart, you may first want to take a quick look at some of the Arrows of Pythagoras to see if there is a match. They can help get you on your way to a brief analysis of your personality. Abraham Lincoln has the
Arrow of Frustrations in his chart. Which can indicate that he would need to work on his self-awareness. It could also indicate many setbacks. Lincoln lived through interesting times and his story is indeed an interesting one and we will continue talking about him as we delve deeper into
numerology.
Next we can look at the meaning and "weight" of the individual numbers. How many times does an individual number appear? As we can see from this chart. The 2 & 1 are very prominent. They represent courage, determination, cooperation, kindness, communication and balance. What numbers are most prominent in your chart? These numbers can give you deeper insight into your inner makeup.
Most importantly the number 1 relates to communication with others. Numbers
2, 5 and 8 relate to stability and
persistence. Numbers 3 and 4 relate to inventiveness and creativity. Numbers 6 and 7 relate to independence, pride, and the ability to be you. Number 9 relates
to joy, excitement and motivation.
The Chinese relate the numbers to elements as well. By bringing the related elements into your life, you can bring balance. Number 1 is water. Numbers 2,5,8 are earth. Numbers 6 and 7 are metal. Numbers 3 and 4 are wood. Number 9 is fire. If, for instance, you do not have the number 6 in your chart, then you might think about incorporating some type of metal
jewelry into your wardrobe.
How can all of this information help you? If your chart is similar to the chart for Lincoln, then you will have to work on your "will power". You may need someone to remind you to do your affirmations, to get you going. After that, you will probably not need a constant reminder, but just
occasional ones. You would also probably be a good communicator, and very persistent as the 1 and 2 are both prominent in the chart.
After you place your birth date numbers in the grid, you can begin to place your other numbers in the chart as well. This process will enable you to see the numbers that are most active in your life. These numbers may be important to you. This is one method of analyzing your personal numbers. There are
other methods, which are somewhat more complex.
You are the architect of your personality and character. Your goal should be to be as successful, happy and prosperous as you possibly can be all aspects of your life. Therefore, the steady development of a positive attitude is something that you need to work on. If you visualize a positive outcome, and think, see, feel, taste and sense it you will begin to exert a powerful force that can bring about your desired outcome into reality. Hopefully this tool can give you an edge in looking a little deeper into your personality, getting to know yourself, and laying the groundwork for a focused visualization campaign.
Good Luck on your journey into soulful living and Numerology.
